The Divine Prophecy of the Cheese God, Fromagio the Eternal
In the beginning, there was Milk.
And it curdled upon the word of the One. From the Whey and the Rind rose Fromagio, the Eternal Cheese God — smooth of mind, sharp of tongue, and pungent of presence. He forged the world on a wheel, and every age turned by the churning of his sacred vat.
“Blessed are those who age with grace, for they shall know the truth of flavor.”
— Book of Curd, 1:9
The Four Great Cheeses of Power
- The Brie of Enlightenment — Soft and radiant, it reveals secrets to those who dare to taste.
- The Cheddar of Strength — Aged sharp and mighty, it grants courage to the weak and sass to the meek.
- The Gouda of Grace — Golden and mellow, it brings peace to warring lands and harmony to cracked crackers.
- The Blue Vein of Judgment — Molded by divine decay, it tests the soul of every mortal. To love it is to be chosen.
The Cult of the Wheel
The faithful gather 'round the Grand Wheel, chanting:
“Curd us in Your wisdom, melt us in Your mercy, slice us not too thin.”
It is believed that when the wheel spins thrice upon a full moon, Fromagio speaks through the bubbling of fondue.
The Signs of the Cheesening
- The Rindless Night — A time when no cheese can form a crust, and all dairy spoils. This marks the approach of the Dairyless One.
- The Melting of the Colossal Wheel — A molten flood of cheese will flow across the plains. Only the Grated will survive.
- The Return of the Grater One — A chosen mortal, born with lactose tolerance unmatched, shall wield the Holy Grater and summon Fromagio back to the realm.
The Sacred Commandments of Fromagio
- Thou shalt never refrigerate wisdom too long, lest it grow cold.
- Honor thy cheese and let it breathe.
- Thou shalt not covet another’s charcuterie board.
- Melt not in haste, nor curdle in anger.
- The holes in the cheese are not flaws, but proof of divine breath.
The Final Cheesurrection
In the End of Ages, the Cheese God shall return atop a cracker chariot, wheels ablaze with raclette. The sky will rain shredded cheddar. The rivers will run with fondue.
"You are the chosen mold. Rise, and spread."
Then shall the Earth be united under one fond crust — and peace shall reign, sharp and crumbly, forevermore.
